don’t tell me yours and i won’t tell you mine

MOH informed me of something that i find completely outrageous yesterday.

apparently, you can go online and find out the net income and net capital of every single taxpayer (private person) in norway. every single one. in the whole norway. just by typing in their name.

is that crazy or is that crazy?

i’m sorry but i’m asian and money is such a private matter for me. i don’t want people to know exactly how much i earn last year and how much i paid in tax. not people i know because… well, how awkward, and definitely not people i barely know because that’s too much information. and i don’t want to be able to go online and find out how much my friends earn. that’s just wrong. what’s the point in that anyway? and you know there are nosy people out there checking out how much such and such earn. which is kinda understandable because people are curious by nature but still…

so last year’s list is out yesterday and just about anybody in the whole wide world with access to the internet can find out how much (or little) money i made last year.

maybe i should get my phone catalogue out and type in all the names there, one by one, to see how much they all earn. just for fun.

i mean, far out. whatever happened to privacy?

t w – i feel kinda violated. it’s none of anybody’s business how much i earn. other than the government people so they know i pay my tax, of course. so nosy, these people 😦

s – tp kl pejabat indo sebelum daftarnya keluar sdh sogok kanan kiri biar nantinya incomenya tertulis lower dari yg aslinya 😀
