two of everything

they say that the longer you’re with a person, the more alike the two of you become. you talk, dress, smile, carry yourself, and even do things the same way.

ha! i said. what a ridiculous notion.

until i opened my fridge today and saw this:

two packs of yoghurts?
two boxes of mushrooms?
two boxes of grapes? – there was three but i finished one
two tubs of butter?
two boxes of cream cheese?

what is going on? for as long as i remember, MOH has this thing about buying things in two. we usually have discussions about how many things to get while grocery shopping. ‘get two bags of that.’ ‘no, i just want one.’ ‘take another bottle.’ ‘no, we only need one.’ ‘buy two of those’. ‘whatever for.’ and now, after six-and-a-half-year of being together, his stupid habit had rubbed off to me. i was the one buying all those things in the fridge. i did. without being told to. dang!

    I do that. I’m always in a constant worry that doomsday is just around the corner 😛 I tend to oversupply things but then again we eat a lot too, so that is not a big problem. I tend to get a bit crazy when I found out that I only have one pack of toilet paper left (there are 9 rolls in it), I will go to the supermarket to get another pack. It feels safer that way 😀

    but… why??? if we live in the middle of nowhere, i understand. but neither of us do. there are shops around us.

    my husband says it’s for back-up, so you never find yourself without shampoo/soap/bread dll, dkk, dsb. the worst thing is when i run out something, for example a couple of weeks ago, i used up all my contacts solution and didn’t have an extra bottle at home. he merrily went, ‘told you to always get two.’

    i just get one of whatever i need. unless they’re on sale, then i stock up.

    LOL it seems your husband and I are in the same wavelength. We call our kind of people as the one who goes “med livrem og seler” (with belt and suspender) – people who are extra careful with everything 😛

    hohoho, se juga tipe orang yang suka stock-up barang-barang. bukan masalah buat back-up ato apa sih.. cuma karna se malas keluar rumah to shop. duhh. lol. mending se sekali keluar dan bawa pulang banyak barang, daripada keluar berkali-kali dengan sedikit barang. ==;

    i heard that laziness kill someone’s future. mungkin saya mi someone itu. swt. hahaha

    mmg kayaknya lebih banyak sekali keluar beli banyak daripada sedikit2 ke toko. tiap kali ke toko kan transport ada biaya, bensin kek, biaya kendaraan umum kek. kecuali jalan kaki iya. dan kl sedikit2 ke toko, pasti tiap ke toko beli lebih dr yg dibutuhkan, jd keluar duit lebih byk krn ke toko lbh sring.
