welcoming 2010

for the first time since we got married, MOH and i celebrated new year’s eve at our own place, just the two of us plus the girls. it was heaven.

we started with a nice dinner of steak (for the i-don-eat-meat-except-for-special-occasions-like-holidays-christmas-and-new year’s eve husband of mine) and salmon (for me), homemade dauphinoise potato and baked broccoli. for drink, a bottle of asti martini (they didn’t have my favourite ricardonna at the bottle shop. still good though). we ate at a properly sat table, accompanied by lots of candles.

then we watched tv and dvd while we waited for the private fireworks shows around our place. at five to midnight, bundled up in our winter jacket and boots, we went out to the balcony and watched people with too much money shot their fireworks up.

happy 2010. hope it’s better than past years. i’m not the resolution kinda chick so i have nothing for this year. i’m just going to find a way to move us from norway. that’s all. easy peasy, no? 🙂

I agree with you on the “people with too much money” part. I still can’t justify the act of burning money (read: buying fireworks) in DK, let alone do so in Norway. So we were quite happy watching other people firing their fireworks last night

exactly. why use money yourself when you can just enjoy the same thing on other people’s money?
