off with the extra kilos – progress report

the black dress… i can zip it all the way up.

you can’t really tell from looking at me but i can feel it. my clothes are looser, my stomach is a teeeeeensy bit smaller, and when i put my moisturiser on my arms, i can feel bones.

i’ve only lost five kilos so far but i’m feeling good. i admit, i’m a bit obsessed with the scale but it helps to see the numbers written there because then i know for sure i’ve lost some weight, otherwise i feel like maybe it’s all just in my head.

the best thing about this whole trying to lose weight thing is that i’m doing so much yoga that i now have better posture. i used to keep telling myself to stop slouching and stand up straight. now, i think, wow, i am actually standing up properly.

yoga is kinda nice. i’m less stiff and it’s good to feel somehow flexible again. i used to be able to kiss my knees (literally) with ease, believe it or not. i can’t anymore so my goal now is to be able to do that again. and to do split with my left leg in front (i still can do split with my right leg in front).

now if only i can handle pilates. i reckon another couple of months with yoga will prepare me for it. pilates is hard core!

    wow, 5 kg in such a short time?!?! good for u!
    i’m also aiming to lose weight, but mainly with dieting (4th week with lite ‘n easy now), no exercising (yet), still blaming the cold weather for my laziness ha… although i walk 2.8km home 3-5 times a week
    actually it’s more like portion control, the food is rather yummy…

      cheers. you don’t look like you need to lose any weight (from your pics).
      i can’t do diet. it gives me craving and i always cave in so i just eat and try to be good with fish, vegies, wholeweat and the likes. i still eat naughty things like like crisps and ice cream though hehe. honestly, i’m hopeless when it comes to food.
      but you’re totally right, portion control is the magic phrase.
      and that is a looooot of walking you’re doing. you’ll lose heaps of weight in no time.

      thanks. taking forever because, as you saw, i still eat everything i want but i’ll get there. eventually…

      maybe i should go to fjellstua every weekend and walk up and down the steps. NOT! 😀
